Moran Management Moran Shipping Agencies provides Full Agency Services at over 90 ports in North America Scott Hansler, General Manager (Port Everglades)
Scott began his noteworthy career in the maritime industry with the United States Coast Guard in 1972. Scott aptly served in full active duty for eight years - four years at sea and four years assigned to the Marine Safety Field Office in Boston, Ma. In 1980 he joined the Moran Organization as a steamship agent in our Boston office, and in 1996 was promoted to Manager. With over twenty-five years of experience with the Port of Boston, sixteen of which with Moran Shipping Agencies, Scott has proved himself as an invaluable asset to both our clients as well as the Greater Boston maritime industry. In 1997, for example, 51% of all agency attended vessels in the Port of Boston were expertly coordinated under Scott's supervision. Furthermore, he has been a long time member of the Boston Propeller Club and most recently has taken a leadership role in the Chelsea Street Bridge Modification Project. Scott continues his work with the Coast Guard, currently serving as an active reservist assigned to the Marine Safety Field Office. Scott is a member of our ISO 9002 "Policies and Procedures" Team and is certified as a Company ISO Auditor.
After many years serving as Operations Manager in the Moran Shipping
Agencies Boston Office Scott Hansler has decided it was time to move south.
Beginning Monday August 3rd 2008 Scott will be taking on the new challenge
and responsibility of General Manager - Florida Operations for Moran
Shipping Agencies. Scott will maintain his office in Port Everglades.
