Port agency and vessel husbandry focuses on taking care of a vessel and her crew who are far from home. Moran has the highest level of commitment to this endeavor: our employees are indeed, the key to this tradition. Our Managers average over 20 years agency experience in Operations and Accounting at Moran. Senior Management is also active in the day-to-day operations of the company.

Moran employees have a diverse skill base, including Captains, Mariners, Coast Guard, QI’s, ship operators, charterers, brokers, inspectors, and vetting experts. Our employees are leaders in all aspects of the port community throughout The Americas: they play key roles in security initiatives, maritime and port/trade organizations, and serve as private sector advisors to the Department of Homeland Security, US Customs & Border Protection, the Coast Guard, and other government entities.

All Moran agents are specially and extensively trained to become local experts of their individual port of service. Each agent is experienced and expert in local as well as federal U.S. Customs, Immigration, Coast Guard and other pertinent government agency regulations that affect ships, crewmen and vessel cargoes. Our knowledgeable staff maintains up to date information on port facilities, repair resources, marine equipment providers, and medical facilities and are equipped to provide immediate transmission of all applicable voyage information and timings. Moran operatives provide special services for tankers, LNG and LPG carriers, and offshore rigs.
