Jim Bowser began his career with the Moran Companies in 1973 as a boarding agent in Boston, Massachusetts. Jim was promoted to Manager of the Port Arthur, Texas office in 1977 and further expanded his role with the Company in 1979 when he ascended to the position of General Manager of the Houston, Texas office. In 1987, Jim returned to the East Coast in the position of Manager of the Moran, Philadelphia and Baltimore ports operations and in 1993 his responsibilities were broadened to include management of the ports of New York and New Jersey.
With over 25 years of successful agency work in ports from New England to Texas, Jim is known as one of the most knowledgeable agents in the business. His strong affiliations with the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents in New York, the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware Bay and River, the Maritime Exchange Agents Committee in Philadelphia and several chapters of the Propeller Club reflect the leadership role Jim has taken within the maritime community.
