PILOT/TRAFFIC ADVISORIES:

ONE DAYLIGHT RESTRICTED VESSEL SAILED OUTBOUND 0600/09TH. AT THIS TIME, 
NO DAYLIGHT RESTRICTED VESSELS ARE SCHEDULED FOR INBOUND TRANSIT THE 9TH.

MAY 3RD – 6TH THE PORT NECHES RIVERFEST WILL BE TAKING PLACE
NEAR PORT NECHES PARK.  THERE WILL BE CHANNEL CLOSURES DURING
THE WEEKEND FOR BOAT RACES.  THE CLOSURE TIMES WILL BE ADVISED
AS THE EVENT GETS CLOSER.  THE TERMINALS AFFECTED BY THIS WILL
BE OILTANKING PORT NECHES, CHEVRON, SUN, OILTANKING BEAUMONT,
MARTIN, EXXONMOBIL AND THE PORT OF BEAUMONT.

USCG – clarification re salvage and marine firefighting 
The US Coast Guard issued a clarification regarding its salvage and 
marine 
firefighting requirements for vessel response plans (VRPs) for oil. On 
September 3, the agency announced that the Office of Management and 
Budget 
(OMB) had approved the collection of information associated with those 
requirements. The announcement also indicated that the requirement would 
be 
enforced beginning September 3. The Coast Guard has now clarified that 
the 
information collection will be enforced as of February 22, 2011, when the 
salvage and marine firefighting regulations come into force. 75 Fed. Reg. 
55973 (September 15, 2010).

WEATHER

Fog and low cloudiness this morning.  High pressure building in this 
afternoon will give us partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will warm into 
the middle 80s.  
Good Friday, mostly sunny skies are expected with lower humidity and warm 
temperatures.  Lows will be in the lower 60s with highs in the lower 80s. 
Saturday will be a great day for family gatherings as mostly sunny skies 
are again expected.   Lows will be near 60 with highs near 80.  Light 
east to southeasterly winds are forecasted.
Easter Sunday, mostly cloudy skies are expected during the morning hours 
with skies becoming partly cloudy to partly sunny during the afternoon 
hours.  Lows will be in the upper 50s with highs near 80.  Winds will be 
northeaster during the morning hours with winds becoming southwesterly 
during the afternoon.
Monday, a 20% coverage of showers is expected across Southeast Texas with 
partly cloudy skies.  Lows will be in the upper 50s with highs near 80.  
North-northwesterly winds are anticipated.
Tuesday, sunny skies, low humidity and cooler temperatures are expected 
as high pressure builds over the area.  Lows will be in the upper 50s 
with highs in the middle 70s.  North-northwesterly winds are forecasted.
Wednesday, mostly sunny and cool.  Lows near 60 with highs near 75.  
Light northeasterly winds early will turn towards the south late.
