Brownsville pilots are requiring vessels with LOA of 680 ft or greater to use 3 tugs on arrival and departure, unless vessel is equipped with bow thruster. In addition the local pilot may request a 3rd tug for vessels arriving/departing with over 34 feet of draft. Tidal range 1.5 feet to 2 feet. Oil dock no. 5 – 37-04 feet & 10 feet off face of dock – 39-00 feet
