96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS. Bond must be filed for Foreign flag vessels or U.S. flag arriving with foreign cargo aboard. 24 Hours - advance notice to Pilots
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Terminal.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing business within Port Authority property must have security pass from SCPA. All persons wanting unescorted access to any vessel must have a valid TWIC.

CURRENT EVENTS: 01/26/24 – 1200-1800 SECURITY ZONE – ATTACHED - SECURITY ZONE – Charleston Harbor - On January 26, 2024, from 12 p.m. through 6 p.m., a security zone will be in effect for certain waters immediately adjacent to the Union Passenger terminal in Charleston, SC. The security zone will encompass all waters within an area approximately 670 yards long and 500 yards wide. No vessels or persons are permitted within the security zone unless authorized by official patrol. Official patrol may be contacted via VHF radio channel 16.

pressure centered just S of Nantucket will move E across Georges
Bank this evening while pulling a cold front across the N and
and central waters. The front will stall over the central waters
Sat and Sat night, then lift N as a warm front Sun. Developing
low pressure will move off the Mid-Atlantic coast Sun, track NE
across or just N of the northern waters Sun night and Mon, and
move E and NE of the area Mon night and Tue. High pressure will
build E across the N waters Tue night, and will settle across
the New England waters Wed and Wed night as another low pressure
develops along the Mid-Atlantic coast.
