The contractor has advised construction of the barrier to 55 feet below the waterline should be completed by this Wednesday, September 24th.  Once completed the Corps will monitor salinity levels to determine if additional height and a notch to allow ships to pass through the barrier is required. 

 

As of 9/20, the top of the saltwater wedge was estimated to be at Mile 58.1 AHP.
