Jacksonville Harbor information:
Drafts - (fresh)
Please note the following Channel Draft Limits necessary following review of the latest USACE survey:
1. Entrance (pilot boarding area "B") to Blount Island #30 = 46'00"      *project depth 47'
    (Shoaling remains on the red half of the channel, right (red) half within channel in Mile Point - cuts 25 & 26).
      (Shoaling remains at 46'00" on the green half of channel in St. Johns Bluff - cuts 28 & 29).
2. Upriver of and including Tallyrand Terminal has been reinstated to the project depth of 40'
3. Between Mathews Bridge and Hart Bridge = 27'00"     *project depth 34'
    (Shoaling near the Hart Bridge & Upper anchorage)
               
Air drafts – Dames Point Bridge – 174’; Blount island High Wires - 175’
 
Vessels that have good maneuvering characteristics and have proven to handle well (EHV), may start in with a fresh water draft of 35’00”or less at any time and at any stage of the tide.  The Tide Windows are changing from tide windows based on tidal current to tide windows based on height of tide. The new windows are based on Low Water (LW) and High Water (HW) in Mayport .

33’01” to 36’00” LW +2 hr 15 min HW +1 hr 30 min 36’01” to 40 ‘00” LW +3 hr. HW +45 min - Outbound Windows:  For all vessels berthed below buoy 51 at berths DP16, DP17, DP18, BI30, BI31, BI32:
Vessels with a draft less than 38’-00” freshwater can sail anytime if berth and turning basin are at project depth. Vessels with drafts from 38’-00” to 39’-00” freshwater can sail starting 1 hour after HW in Mayport. Vessels with drafts 39’-00” to 40’-00” can sail starting 2 hours after HW in Mayport.
Stop sailing vessels up to 39’-00” freshwater 1 hour before LW in Mayport. Stop sailing vessels up to 40’-00” 2 hours before LW in Mayport.
These windows are approximate and will be adjusted based on prevailing environmental conditions.

Blount Islands –  The following clearances have been assigned to berths – Berth 22 – 32’00 / Berth 30 – 29’ / Berth 31 – 40’ / Berth 32 – 40’ / Berth 33 – 46’-06”  (46.5’) / Berth 34 – 47’ / Berth 35 – 47’
Dames Terminals - All berths - Maximum draft Berths Berth 20-22 36’
Apex - Uses Center Point berth for discharge
Center Point - restrictions:   Max LOA 680’- Max Beam 125’ ; MAX DRAFT 37’06 F 37’06 AFT / // 2x8” for Regular, 1x8” for Premium, 2x8” for ULSD, 1x8” for JetA  
Buckeye – Vessels  max draft 36’06” Basis STBD Side to at MLLW.   It remains the vessel Master’s choice as to regarding docking, they may dock STBD or PORT Side to, provided the vessel adheres to the draft based on orientation.  2X8” Regular, 1x8” ULSD and Premium – Docking Starboard side to

96 Hours - advance notice to M.A.S.T. division of Customs and Border Patrol.
48 Hours - advance submission of ship's documents for all foreign arrival vessels required by Customs and Border Patrol
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must submit manifest to the Customs & Border Patrol AMS.  
 
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Jacksonville must have TWIC and a security pass from Duval County Sheriff, prior to be allowed onto any terminal.  Anyone not possessing both, must be escorted.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20
  NM...
  Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60
  NM...
 
* Until 545 PM EDT.
 
* At 450 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Atlantic
  Beach, or 27 nm north of Saint Augustine, moving southeast at 15
  knots.
 
  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
 
  SOURCE...Radar.
 
  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.
 
* Locations impacted include...
  Anna Reef, Nassau Sound Approach Buoy 6a, Saint Johns Lighted Buoy,
  Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Palm Valley.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. If your vessel is
caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all
crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and
nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if
available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on
handheld radios, for readiness.
