Port Alert

New Orleans / Mississippi River

May 05, 2025

Notices

Please see below and attached updated MSIB from USCG for the sunken barge at MM  108-111.

The NOBRA Pilots restriction of Southbound Traffic during daylight hours only along their route will remain in effect until the Carrollton Gauge reaches 16 feet and the Baton Rouge Gauge reaches 40 feet.  The latest forecast projects this should happen on or about May 7th.
Due to the sunken barge at Mile 110, the Coast Guard has implemented a southbound daylight only restriction between from Mile 108 – Mile 111.  As of now, this restriction will remain in place once NOBRA has lifted their restriction later this week.
We will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any changes.
