Notices

Earlier this month, President Trump issued a proclamation “Restrciting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats.”  Nationals from the following countries are fully or partially suspended from entering the country:

Afghanistan
Myanmar (Burma)
Chad
Republic of the Congo
Equatorial Guinea
Eritrea
Haiti
Iran
Libya
Somalia
Sudan
Yemen
Burundi
Cuba
Laos Sierra Leone
Togo
Turkmenistan
Venezuela

We reached out to CBP to inquire how this would affect crewmembers from the above countries.  The following is taken from the CBP advisory:
“Any foreign national traveling with a valid nonimmigrant visa in the following classifications are exempt: A-1, A-2,C-2, C-3, G-1,G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1, NATO-2, NATO-3, NATO-4, NATO-5, or NATO-6”.  In addition, local CBP strongly encourages that vessel owners ensure their personnel have the correct visa types to enter the United States.

A copy of the notice is attached.
