Port Alert

New Orleans / Mississippi River

June 25, 2025

Notices

Capt Toby,

As you have noticed we are in a pattern of fluctuation with the river stage.  We anticipate the river stage to continue to move upwards and downwards over the next few days/weeks.

As a result of this unpredictability please note that anytime the Carrollton gauge rises above 12' (twelve feet), our night time restrictions (see below) for mid-stream/bouy operations will apply.

" Mooring and unmooring operations at all mide-stream transfer facilities and any berth that requires the use of a mooring boat shall be restricted to daylight hours"

In advance thanks for your understanding and if, the BOE can be of further assistance don't hesitate to reach out.

Lee Jackson
BOE - President
