Notices

Below is a summary of the 10:30 conference call to discuss the potential tropical weather that could affect the area:

National Weather Service:
The center of the system is located just south of the Florida Panhandle.  There is a 40% chance the system could develop into a tropical depression/storm as it continues eastward.  Main concern of the system will be heavy rainfall.  Rainfall should begin late this evening and continue into the Friday/Saturday time frame.  Wave heights off Southwest Pass are predicted to be 5-6 feet reaching maximum height tomorrow night into Friday morning.

Corps of Engineers:
Operations are normal.  Not anticipating any issues.

Coast Guard:
Personnel began patrols this morning.  Will monitor the weather to determine if any additional steps are required.

Pilot Assocaitions:
The pilots are not anticipating ceasing operations. If conditions deteriorate to a point where it not safely to embark/disembark pilots, vessel movements may be suspended until conditions improve.

No additional conference calls scheduled at this time.   Please continue to monitor your email for updates.
