The National Weather Service is forecasting hazardous marine conditions beginning Friday through Sunday. 

15-25 knot winds are expected on Friday to increase to 20-25 knots Friday evening into Saturday morning, accompanied by gusts up to 30 knots and 3-4 foot seas in the Galveston Bay. Small Craft Advisories in effect Friday evening.

Late Friday into Saturday morning, and Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are forecasted between 0900-1600 (local) on Saturday. Any isolated strong to severe thunderstorms within the line could bring wind gusts of up to 50 knots. 

Mariners are advised to consider these weather conditions before beginning or continuing their transits.  

All vessels and facilities are encouraged to take preventive measures in advance of the front. Such measures may include the following:
•Safety measures should be taken to secure missile hazards, nonessential equipment, and loose gear.
•Ensure vessel moorings are adequate for the predicted winds. Mooring lines ready to be doubled up with due consideration given effects of the front.
•Vessels in the Bolivar Roads Anchorage should ensure that anchor and anchoring equipment is in good working condition and standby to immediately respond to anchor dragging events.
•Continue to Monitor the National Weather Service and VTS Houston-Galveston frequencies for up-to-date forecasts.
