At 1410 (local) Vessel Traffic Service Houston/Galveston has received reports of reduced visibility, as low as 1 nautical mile, in the Galveston Bay due to misty rain as well as 25-30 knot winds and 2-foot seas. Mariners are advised to consider the current conditions before beginning or continuing their transit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Heavy rainfall, and a strong storm are possible for the Galveston Bay this evening, bringing 1-2 inches of rain, and potentially stronger storms. National Weather Service is reporting a potential for reduced visibility on the Galveston Bay this evening through tomorrow morning. Areas of sea fog are possible, with 2-4 miles of visibility, with the predicted rain. If rainfall is lighter, there is a potential for more dense fog. Mariners are advised to consider these weather conditions before beginning or continuing their transit.
