Freezing spray threat fades into the late morning hours as
temperatures rise into the upper 20s/low 30s. Steady southwest winds
today up to 20 knots with gusts to 30 knots. Southwest winds
strengthen overnight to gale force. Gale warnings in effect through
sunrise tomorrow. Weather becomes unsettled later this week
snow/rain chances Tuesday night through Friday.
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
 
 
.TODAY...W winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW 15 to 20 kt this
afternoon. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to
5 ft.
.TUE...W winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt, becoming NW
10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 to
4 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming E after midnight. Seas
around 2 ft. A chance of rain. Snow likely with a chance of sleet
in the evening, then a chance of snow after midnight. Vsby 1 to
3 NM.
.WED...SE winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming S 5 to 10 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Rain likely with a chance of snow in
the morning, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Vsby 1 to
3 NM in the morning.
.WED NIGHT...S winds around 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. A chance of
rain.
.THU THROUGH FRI...E winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt.
Seas 2 to 3 ft. Rain.
