High pressure system moves east of the region today with a cold
front approaching the waters by Friday. For the weekend and into
next week low pressure remains to the east with high pressure to the
west.
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
 
.TODAY...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 3 to
4 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the
evening. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
.FRI...NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
.FRI NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas
4 to 6 ft, building to 6 to 8 ft after midnight.
.SAT AND SAT NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.
Seas 5 to 8 ft.
.SUN THROUGH MON NIGHT...N winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to
