Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
A weak high pres develops over the waters today. A strong cold front
approaches from the W Wed to bring strong S winds to the waters.
This cold front crosses the waters Wed night, which will shift winds
to the NW and be quite gusty Thu. Winds ease Thu night as high pres
moves in.

EVENING...
.TODAY...S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to
4 ft. Patchy fog. Vsby 1 NM or less, increasing to 1 to 3 NM this
afternoon.
.TONIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt, increasing
to 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt after midnight. Seas 4 to
6 ft, building to 5 to 8 ft after midnight. Patchy fog. Showers.
Vsby 1 NM or less.
.WED...S winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 8 to
11 ft. Patchy fog. Showers. Vsby 1 NM or less.
.WED NIGHT...S winds 30 to 35 kt, becoming W after midnight.
