Cold front has now crossed the waters and strong post frontal NW
winds continue this morning with gale force gusts. Winds begin to
diminish this afternoon into tonight. Mainly dry conditions today, but
more rain and wet weather moves back in for the weekend and into
next week
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
..GALE WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...
.TODAY...W winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 7 to
10 ft. A slight chance of snow this afternoon.
.TONIGHT...W winds 25 to 30 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt after
midnight. Seas 5 to 8 ft, subsiding to 4 to 6 ft after midnight.
A chance of light freezing spray after midnight.
.FRI...W winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SW in the afternoon. Gusts
up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
.FRI NIGHT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas
