Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
A deep closed upper level low over the Ohio Valley will only slowly
lift northeast though the middle of the week resulting in periods of
showers and isolated thunderstorms. This closed low finally lifts to
our north by Thu. However...a surface low pres system will likely
lift NE from the southeast/mid Atlantic states into our region by
Fri and Sat.

FRIDAY EVENING...
.TODAY...W winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NE this afternoon. Seas
2 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: SE 4 ft at 8 seconds and SW 1 foot at
3 seconds. Patchy fog. Vsby 1 to 3 NM, decreasing to 1 NM or less
this afternoon.
.TONIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt after
midnight. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: SE 4 ft at 9 seconds.
Patchy fog. Vsby 1 NM or less.
.FRI...E winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 3 to
5 ft. Wave Detail: E 5 ft at 8 seconds. Patchy fog. Rain likely
in the afternoon. Vsby 1 to 3 NM in the morning.
