Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Low pres lifts northeast across the Great Lakes Wed into Wed
night and into Quebec on Thu. This will drag a cold front across the
region Thu night. This will be followed by a weak ridge of high pres
Fri into Sat. A Bermuda high will then take control of our weather
early next week.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
.TODAY...S winds around 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: SE
3 ft at 7 seconds and S 1 foot at 2 seconds. Patchy fog. A slight
chance of showers this morning. Vsby 1 NM or less.
.TONIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: SE
3 ft at 7 seconds and SW 2 ft at 3 seconds. Patchy fog. Vsby 1 NM
or less.
.THU...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 15 to 20 kt with gusts up
to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: S 3 ft at
4 seconds and SE 2 ft at 7 seconds. Patchy fog in the morning
with vsby 1 to 3 NM.
.THU NIGHT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas
3 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: SW 4 ft at 5 seconds and SE 3 ft at
8 seconds.
.FRI AND FRI NIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt.
