McArdle Bridge Update

MA - BOSTON INNER HARBOR – CHELSEA CREEK – ANDREW P. McARDLE BRIDGE- Bridge Repairs
Mariners are advised that unscheduled bridge deck repairs will be conducted to Andrew P. McArdle Bridge from July 28th, 2025, through August 14th, 2025. Work hours will be 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. A manlift barge and tending vessel will be moored to the bridge fender system during work hours. Mariners are requested to provide one-hour advanced notice to the on-scene contractor for a bridge opening. On-scene POC Mr. Russell Forest (978) 360-6079 The bridge tender will be on scene during the maintenance period and can be reached via VHF-FM Ch 13. Questions may be directed to the City of Boston Public Works at (617) 635-2220 or Mr. Spencer Kresge (508) 932-7254. Mariners are advised to use caution and plan their transits accordingly.

High Pressure is continuing to bring pleasant boating conditions
through midweek. Winds gradually increase form the SW Tue and Wed but
remain below small craft criteria.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
.TODAY...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: E 3 ft
at 9 seconds and SW 1 foot at 3 seconds.
.TONIGHT...SW winds around 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: E
3 ft at 9 seconds and S 2 ft at 3 seconds.
.TUE...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Seas around 3 ft. Wave Detail: E 3 ft at 9 seconds and
SW 2 ft at 3 seconds.
.TUE NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas
around 3 ft. Wave Detail: E 3 ft at 9 seconds and S 2 ft at
4 seconds.
.WED...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to
3 ft. Wave Detail: S 3 ft at 4 seconds and E 2 ft at 8 seconds.
