Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Area of high pressure moves east of the coastal waters today with
increasing S to SE winds with occasional gusts less than 25 knots.
Seas today are increasing 3-4 feet. A few showers are possible
overnight into Friday morning and areas or marine fog. Wind shifts
to the SSW for Friday with gusts nearing advisory criteria. A cold
front moves across the waters Saturday night through Sunday, which
the front could become quasi-stationary over the eastern waters. An
area of high pressure returns late Sunday and remains through
Wednesday.
