Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
An area of low pres extending from the Great Lakes into Quebec will
continue to result in gusty SW winds and choppy seas through Thu.
This low will shift east of the region as high pres builds in from
the west this weekend. The result will be winds shifting to the NW
and gradually diminishing winds and seas.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
.TODAY...SW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 3 to
5 ft. Wave Detail: SW 4 ft at 5 seconds and SE 3 ft at 7 seconds.
.TONIGHT...S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to
3 ft. Wave Detail: S 3 ft at 5 seconds and E 2 ft at 10 seconds.
A chance of showers after midnight.
.WED...S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to
4 ft. Wave Detail: S 4 ft at 4 seconds and E 2 ft at 10 seconds.
Showers likely, mainly in the morning.
.WED NIGHT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas
