Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
High pres continues to move offshore overnight. A coastal low will
track NE from the mid Atlc coast Tue and develop into a Gale center
as it passes south and east of Nantucket Tue night. High pres will
move from the Ohio Valley to the mid Atlc coast Wed into Wed night.
An arctic front will push across New Eng and the waters Thu into Thu
evening. High pres builds over the waters Fri.

.TODAY...S winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming SE with gusts up to 20 kt
this afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: E 2 ft at 6 seconds
and W 1 foot at 3 seconds. Rain. Vsby 1 NM or less this
afternoon.
.TONIGHT...NE winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming N 25 to 30 kt after
midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building to 5 to 8 ft after midnight.
Wave Detail: E 5 ft at 6 seconds, becoming N 7 ft at 6 seconds
and SE 4 ft at 7 seconds. Rain. Vsby 1 NM or less, increasing to
1 to 3 NM after midnight.
.WED...NW winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt, diminishing
to 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt in the afternoon. Seas 5 to
8 ft. Wave Detail: N 6 ft at 7 seconds and E 4 ft at 9 seconds.
.WED NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt
after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 ft, subsiding to 3 to 4 ft after

5 to 8 ft. Wave Detail: NW 7 ft at 6 seconds and SE 2 ft at

.FRI NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas

up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. A chance of rain.
Seas are reported as significant wave height, which is the
average of the highest third of the waves. Individual wave
heights may be more than twice the significant wave height..
