McArdle Bridge Update

Mariners are advised that phased bridge deck repairs will be conducted to Andrew P. McArdle Bridge on Sunday January 4th, 2026’ through Thursday January 8th, 2026. Work hours will be from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. The contractor is requesting one-hour advanced notice for bridge opening to clear crews and equipment. On-scene POC Mr. Russell Forest (978) 360-6079 The bridge tender will be on scene during the maintenance period and can be reached via VHF-FM Ch 13. Questions may be directed to the City of Boston Public Works at (617) 635-2220 or Mr. Spencer Kresge (508) 932-7254. Mariners are advised to use caution and plan their transits accordingly.

Pockets of freezing spray across the ern coastal waters this morning
as winds diminish. A cold front crosses the waters tonight into
early Thu, bringing a period of snow and poor visibility. High pres
builds S of the waters Fri. Another cold front moves across the
region Fri night, followed by high pres building across the waters
this weekend.

.TODAY...SW winds 20 to 25 kt, diminishing to 15 to 20 kt this
afternoon. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Wave Detail: W 6 ft
at 6 seconds and E 1 foot at 11 seconds.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas 2 to
3 ft. Wave Detail: SW 3 ft at 4 seconds and E 1 foot at
11 seconds. Snow likely after midnight with vsby 1 NM or less.
.THU...W winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt in the
