Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Rather quiet conditions through Fri with high pres building into the
region. A quick moving low pressure system Fri night into early Sat
is followed up with an Arctic cold front, bringing the threat of
Gale or Storm Force winds this weekend and moderate to heavy
freezing spray for all the waters.
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
TODAY...W winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: NW
3 ft at 4 seconds and E 2 ft at 10 seconds.
.TONIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt after
midnight. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: NW 3 ft at 4 seconds and E
1 foot at 10 seconds.
.THU...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas around 2 ft. Wave Detail: N
2 ft at 4 seconds and E 1 foot at 13 seconds.
.THU NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: N
