High pres builds over the waters Wed, then a warm front approaches
from the S Thu. Low pres develops on the front and moves across the
south coastal waters Thu night into Fri. High pres returns Sat. A
quick trough of low pressure passes Saturday night followed by high
pressure.
 
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary:
 
.TODAY...W winds 5 to 10 kt with gusts up to 20 kt, becoming SW
this afternoon. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: SE 4 ft at 8 seconds
and W 2 ft at 3 seconds. Areas of fog this morning with vsby 1 to
3 NM.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft. Wave Detail: SE
4 ft at 8 seconds.
.THU...W winds around 5 kt, becoming NE 10 to 15 kt with gusts up
to 25 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Wave Detail: SE 3 ft
at 8 seconds and NE 2 ft at 2 seconds. Areas of fog in the
morning. Vsby 1 NM or less.
.THU NIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas
4 to 6 ft. Wave Detail: E 6 ft at 7 seconds and SE 2 ft at
9 seconds. A chance of rain in the evening, then rain with a
chance of snow after midnight.
.FRI...NE winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 5 to
8 ft. Wave Detail: E 8 ft at 8 seconds and SE 2 ft at 11 seconds.
Rain with a chance of snow in the morning, then a chance of rain
in the afternoon.
