Cape Cod Canal Update:
Atlas Painting and Sheeting Corp. will be conducting bridge sandblasting and painting operations on the Buzzards BayRailroad Bridge over the Cape Cod Canal beginning 9 March 2026 through 31 December 2026. Scaffolding will reduce the vertical clearance from 135 feet to 130 feet MHW.

Warm this morning; cloudy and breezy with a couple of showers around, mainly late in the day.
Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
A backdoor cold front stalled out just north of Cape Cod Bay briefly
lifts back north as a warm front across our northern waters early
Wed morning. This will be very short-lived as this boundary will
drop back south across our waters late Wed morning and
afternoon, shifting winds to the NE.
High pres over Quebec will result in gusty NE winds across the
waters Thu. This high then shifts east followed by a couple waves of
low pres tracking across Quebec Fri into the weekend...which may
result in winds turning to the SW at times.

4 ft. Wave Detail: S 4 ft at 9 seconds and SW 3 ft at 5 seconds.
Patchy fog. A chance of showers. Vsby 1 to 3 NM, decreasing to
1 NM or less this afternoon.
.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt after
midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Wave Detail: NE 4 ft at 5 seconds and
SE 3 ft at 8 seconds. Patchy fog. A chance of showers in the
evening, then showers likely after midnight. Vsby 1 to 3 NM in
the evening.
.THU...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 5 ft. Wave Detail: E 5 ft
at 7 seconds. Patchy fog. A chance of showers. Vsby 1 to 3 NM in
the afternoon.
.THU NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the
