North Cargo Pier 2 – Max. draft – 39’06 (Vessels over 650’ restricted to 38’06)
 
A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide.  A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins.

Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within Port Canaveral must have TWIC prior to be allowed onto any terminal.  Escort required without a TWIC.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America:
 
1. Eastern Tropical Atlantic:
A tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic south
of the Cabo Verde islands is producing disorganized showers and
thunderstorms.  Environmental conditions appear conducive for
gradual development of this system during the next several days, and
a tropical depression is likely to form later this week or this
weekend.  This system is expected to move westward to
west-northwestward at around 15 mph across the eastern and central
tropical Atlantic through the weekend.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.
