A vessel with a draft that does not exceed 38 00″may transit the channels and basins at any time and stage of the tide. Vessels that have a draft in excess of 38’00″are considered “tide jobs” and will be advised by the Harbormaster and Canaveral Pilots of the time of boarding with consideration given to the stage of the tide. These vessels are generally scheduled to begin an inbound transit two hours prior to high tide.  A minimum under keel clearance of 2’6” is required during the transit of the channels and basins.

24 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by Port Authority via Harbor Master and Pilots.
 
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within Port Canaveral must have TWIC prior to be allowed onto any terminal.  Escort required without a TWIC.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

 .SYNOPSIS...A brief surge of northwesterly winds is forecast  tonight. This will create poor boating conditions in the Gulf  Stream, north of Sebastian Inlet. Then, generally favorable  conditions return through late week. High pressure moves eastward  from the Gulf and across the Florida Peninsula through Friday.  Another cold front is forecast to move across the local waters  Saturday night into Sunday, accompanied by showers and  deteriorating boating conditions.    .GULF STREAM HAZARDS...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts  to 25 knots tonight, north of Sebastian Inlet.    The approximate location of the west wall of the Gulf Stream based on  the Real Time Ocean Forecast System as of Wednesday, December 31st, 2025.    46 nautical miles east of Ponce Inlet.  33 nautical miles east of Port Canaveral.  29 nautical miles east of Sebastian Inlet.  22 nautical miles east of Fort Pierce Inlet.  16 nautical miles east of Saint Lucie Inlet.    $$

 SATURDAY  Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 1 to 2 feet.  Wave Detail: Southwest 2 feet at 3 seconds and northeast 1 foot  at 11 seconds. A moderate chop on the intracoastal waters.
 
 SATURDAY NIGHT  Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots, increasing to  15 to 20 knots after midnight. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Choppy on the  intracoastal waters. A chance of showers in the evening, then  showers likely after midnight.
 
 SUNDAY  West winds around 15 knots, becoming north in the  afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 feet. A moderate chop on the intracoastal  waters. A chance of showers in the morning, then a slight chance  of showers in the afternoon.
