* WHAT...Southwest to west winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40
  kt and seas 12 to 17 ft.
 
* WHERE...The New Jersey and Delaware Atlantic coastal waters.
 
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
 
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
 
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The winds are forecast to increase later
  this morning, then diminish late this afternoon or early
  this evening.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the

ISLAND DE AND FOR DELAWARE BAY...
Strong low pressure will move into eastern Canada today. High
pressure builds south of our region tonight then extends into our
area Thursday into Friday. Another strong low pressure system will
affect the area late Friday into Saturday. High pressure briefly
returns for Sunday, then another storm system approaches early next

TODAY
SW winds around 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt, becoming W
25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt late this morning and early
afternoon, then diminishing to 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt
late. Seas 8 to 13 ft, subsiding to 8 to 11 ft this afternoon. SE
swell 6 to 11 ft at 10 seconds. Showers likely early this
morning, then isolated showers late this morning.
 
TONIGHT
W winds 15 to 20 kt, diminishing to 10 to 15 kt after
midnight. Gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft, subsiding to 4 to
7 ft after midnight. S swell 3 to 8 ft at 9 seconds.

SW winds 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt with gusts
