MARINE WEATHER:  1001 AM EST Fri Jan 30 2026

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front will extend
off the SE coast today. To the N, several surface troughs will
move SE across the N and central waters through early Sat, with
high pressure building in across the N and central areas Sat from
inland. Low pressure will form off of the SE U.S. coast along
the front later today along the southern waters, drifting NE
tonight over the central areas and rapidly strengthening and
along the central and S coast Sat and Sat night. The intense low
will move NE Sat night through Sun, being centered S of Nova
Scotia late Sun night and approaching Newfoundland Mon. Another
series of surface troughs will move S across the waters behind
the low Mon and Mon night, continuing over the N waters through
Tue night. High pressure will gradually build E over the far S
waters Tue and Tue night. Mariners should monitor the forecasts
for Sat and beyond, preparing to execute avoidance plans from
this powerful low pressure system.
