96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge. Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted. Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

06/19/25 – PORT OF TAMPA - Port Tampa Bay and Tampa International Airport are proud to announce the 10th Annual Tampa Bay Safety Summit. This year’s Summit will include a vast range of local, state, and federal representatives. In addition to government professionals, the summit will feature a variety of industry experts to engage you with presentations and panel discussions relating to safety, security, and operational readiness in an open forum setting. The summit will take place at Cruise Terminal 6 on June 19, 2025. This year’s Safety Summit will begin with welcome remarks from leaders from the port and airport and feature a variety of informative sessions focused on preparedness and resiliency.
