96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge.  Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

FUTURE ISSUES:   08/19/25 – TAMPA PORT AUTHORITY - The Port Tampa Bay Board of Commissioners' regular business meeting will be held in person on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 9:30 am.
 
10/09/25 –0730 -  TAMPA BAY ALLIANCE - Maritime Alliance’s annual On the Horizon breakfast panel discussion will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.  This year’s panel will explore Tampa Bay’s vital role as the logistics hub. We’ll host leaders from Tampa International Airport, the Florida Department of Transportation, and Port Tampa Bay for an engaging conversation about the present and future of supply chain logistics involving planes, trucks, and ships.

Hurricane Alert:  4/SEASONAL –  800 AM EDT Thu Jul 24 2025 - For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of America:  1. North-Central Gulf:  A trough of low pressure over the north-central Gulf is currently producing a broad area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.  Over the next day or two, this system is forecast to move generally westward across the north-central portion of the Gulf where some slow development is possible.  By this weekend, the system is likely to move inland, ending its chances for development. Regardless of tropical cyclone formation, locally heavy rainfall is possible for portions of the northern Gulf coast through this weekend.
