96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge.  Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted.  Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

NEWS ARTICLES:  TPA UPDATE - Aug 01 2025 -A message from Port Tampa Bay to our customers, tenants and community
First-ever Recipients of the Anchor Scholarship Foundation Named The Anchor Scholarship Foundation has established the Jack H. and Ruby Lucas Endowed Scholarship in recognition of Medal of Honor recipient Jack H. Lucas, following the 2023 commissioning of the USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG 125).
Funded by the ship’s Commissioning Committee, the endowment will award annual scholarships to three students who are the spouse or child of a U.S. Navy service member who served aboard the USS Jack H. Lucas for at least one year.
 
The 2025 recipients are:
1. Rosav Ramsook, a Navy spouse who will start her first year of a clinical lab science program at the University of California – San Diego. She was awarded a $4,000 scholarship.
2. Karen Luque, a Navy spouse who will be a sophomore studying Business Administration at San Diego City College. She was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
3. Mary Louise Nisperos Wittkopf, a Navy spouse who is seeking an industry certification in esthetics from Evergreen Beauty College. She was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
 
Carnival’s Inaugural ‘Funternship’ Program Celebrates Graduation
Carnival Cruise Line has sponsored a summer jobs program for high school students in five of its U.S. homeports, including Port Tampa Bay. The program provided students who are at least 17 years old with six weeks of paid, hands-on experience at Carnival’s cruise terminal operations.  Carnival will host a graduation for its Port Tampa Bay participants on Monday, August 4, 2025, aboard the Carnival Paradise. Thirteen local Tampa students took part in the program, which is in its first year. While docked at Port Tampa Bay, students will be recognized with certificates, lunch, and a celebratory cake-cutting. Congratulations to the inaugural class of the Funternship Program!

10/09/25 –0730 -  TAMPA BAY ALLIANCE - Maritime Alliance’s annual On the Horizon breakfast panel discussion will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.  This year’s panel will explore Tampa Bay’s vital role as the logistics hub. We’ll host leaders from Tampa International Airport, the Florida Department of Transportation, and Port Tampa Bay for an engaging conversation about the present and future of supply chain logistics involving planes, trucks, and ships.
