96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG
72 Hours - The Harbormasters office requires a 72 hour minimum notice of a vessel arrival. Any time less than 72 hours will be considered short notice and could result in vessel's delay to berth.
48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.
24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Port Security Officer.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing ship’s business within the Port of Tampa must have TWIC and a Port-issued ID badge. Anyone not having one or both, will need to be escorted. Vehicles must have permanent company markings to be allowed onto any terminal.

February 25 - Women In Maritime Operations (WIMOs) Association is expanding its presence with the formation of a new Tampa Bay (Fla.) chapter, led by a group of local maritime professionals aimed at strengthening community, mentorship and career development opportunities for women in operational and technical roles. WIMOs is a national organization focused on recruiting, retaining, advancing and promoting women across the maritime industry. Guided by its motto “Educate. Engage. Elevate.”, the association offers more than 150 annual events, many included with membership, along with a national mentoring program and a junior chapter designed to support early-career professionals.
